Papers pertaining to the Harvard University Cancer Commission, 6 Mar. 1888- 11 June 1915, including a printed copy of the last will and testament of Caroline Abigail Brewer Croft, 6 Mar. 1888, in which she leaves 100,000 dollars to Dr. Henry K. Oliver and Dr. John Collins Warren to use for research for cure of diseases such as cancer; a letter from Dr. Oliver to Dr. Warren, 26 June 1898, regarding the best use of the 100,000 dollars, including possibly offering the money to Harvard; and a letter from E.E. Tyzzer to Dr. Warren, 11 June 1915, regarding the history of the Cancer Commission, including the name of the commission being changed from the former Caroline Brewer Croft Fund Cancer Commission to the present name of Harvard University Cancer Commission in 1908. Also includes a partial, unverified typescript of the 1898 letter from Dr. Oliver to Dr. Warren.
